Frequently asked questions

Is ShifaDaily free?

Yes. There are no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Do I need an internet connection or an account?

No. Reminders, history and the recipe collection work completely offline, and no account exists.

Will the app tell me what dose to take?

No. You enter your prescription exactly as written. ShifaDaily never suggests or changes doses. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if anything is unclear.

Why was a reminder late?

Android can delay alarms if "Alarms & reminders" access is off, during battery saving, or because of manufacturer restrictions. Open Reminder check in Settings to see what applies to your phone.

What happens if my phone was off at reminder time?

Nothing can ring while the phone is off. When it restarts, a dose that is up to 30 minutes late is reminded once; older ones are listed as "not delivered" so you can review them. There is no burst of alarms.

Are the recipes suitable for my diabetes?

They follow general balanced-eating advice (vegetables first, measured starches, little oil, no added sugar), but they are not a personal diet. Your needs depend on your treatment; follow your care team.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. iPhone apps require Apple's developer program, signing and App Store or TestFlight distribution, which have not been set up.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

For privacy, data is not included in automatic backups. Use Settings → Export my data to create a file. Importing is not available in this version.
